Instructors: How Instructor Training Works

Instructor training with ProTrainings is simple and ensures the highest quality of instructor every time. Courses are focused on giving instructors a strong understanding of the material while preparing them to teach it effectively. Courses are designed to provide "first time" instruction for those who are not yet certified instructors as well as "crossover" training for instructors that currently teach with another national curriculum. First time and crossover instructors take the same course but have slightly different course requirements as outlined below.

Step 1 - Online Training Section

All instructor training students must complete this portion of the course. Training is self paced so the online section can last from 3-5 hours depending on the student's comfort with the material. Students watch the training videos, answer pre-test questions, and take a final written test.

Step 2 - Fax Credentials Or Schedule Part 2 Training

A) If you are currently an instructor for another national curriculum, fax a copy of your current instructor card to 810-592-5007.

B) If you are not a current instructor, call 616-855-2500 to schedule your Part 2 in-person or remote learning section. This section can take 2-3 hours depending on your level of preparedness.

Step 3 - Purchase Necessary Supplies

ProTrainings instructor training includes the DVDs and instructor booklets at no extra cost. However, it is important that each instructor has all the supplies necessary to effectively teach his or her class. Ensure that you have everything you need to instruct by purchasing instructor supplies from the ProTrainings Store.

Step 4 - Teach Classes

Through instructor training, you will learn how to enter students into your dashboard and hold open courses. After this training, you will be able to hold courses and grow your business using the ProTrainings curriculum.
